Our Fearless Leader
Maryssa Hall (she/they/elle) leads Nia Consulting as our CEO and Founder. Maryssa is an experienced organizational strategist and transformational capacity builder focused on supporting individuals and organizations thrive and live into their purpose.
She has over a decade of experience in leadership development and specializes in strategic planning, organizational growth, culture change and transitions, and leading diverse and inclusive teams to maximize organizational effectiveness.
Her practice bridges organization development and transformative capacity-building practices to unleash the potential at all levels of an organization, including the individual, team, and whole system. Maryssa’s holistic approach ensures that her clients are equipped to address the root of their challenges, create new possibilities forward, and set themselves up for continued success. Throughout her career, she has had the privilege of working with a wide breadth of communities and organizations, including non-profits, community-based organizations, unions, educational institutions, political campaigns, and startups.
Maryssa was raised in the Bay Area and earned her B.A. in Afro-American Studies and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She spent the early part of her career in Washington, DC before returning to the Bay Area where she earned her Master of Science in Organization Development from the University of San Francisco (USF). While at USF, Maryssa also co-founded the first Black Graduate Student Association (BGSA) to provide a space where Black graduate students can connect, network, and thrive both professionally and personally while at USF and beyond.
Maryssa is a proud Black and Mexican Queer Womxn, currently living in the Bay Area, CA with her loving partner and 5-year old Yorkie, Nala.
